                                                                save
Chapter 7 File Management

To avoid the pain and misery of lost map data (which is most often caused by an
inappropriate or bizarre action by the user!), use the save command to store
(and re-store) the active map's data files. You will be prompted for this
action when creating or acquiring another map or exiting LTPlus. It is a good
idea to be pro-active and initiate the save command every 1/4 to 1/2 hour. The
active map will be saved under the map name directory which will be found along
the default maps_path as defined in the config file. The current map may be
saved to a second map name, thereby retaining the original map without the
changes.

save

    Saves the active map.

         save [fname]

Saves the current map under the maps directory on the default data path
device. The map's acquired or created name is used unless the optional
fname option specifies a new map name.
