Compiling extra modules for GRASS GIS

Requirements: You need the source code package compiled before you can compile further extra modules!

To compile extra modules you have to perform two steps: compilation and linking:
  1. Enter the directory of the module where the Gmakefile is stored. If there are several Gmakefiles, enter the  "root directory" of this module. E.g.
        cd src/mapdev/
  2. Enter
       gmake5 -i
  3. If you receive a compiling error, fix it and run
       gmake5 -i
  4. Now you have to link the module into the GRASS binary tree:
       gmakelinks5 -i
  5. That is all... Start GRASS and use the new module.
