GRASS offers several different solutions for cartography, none of which are very user-friendly in the sense of point-and-click interfaces, but once you get used to them, they can be very efficient. You can either export a map as a raster file with the CELL and the PNG drivers, create a postscript file with the module or create an htmlmap file with the HTMLMAP driver.

Since GRASS does not offer any interactive layout tools, it often advisable to import the output of GRASS into a drawing program allowing a finer control of placements.
